Marcos Gómez Tamarit

Marcos Gómez, passionate about hospitality from a young age, began his career at Tamarit, his parents’ restaurant in La Pobla de Farnals, where he honed his skills in the kitchen. After training with renowned chefs, he opened Puerta del Mar in Valencia, a benchmark for its paellas and locally sourced cuisine. Together with his brother Jose, he expanded Grupo Gómez with Bandera Azul, specializing in rice dishes, and Los Gómez Taberna, known for its top-quality tapas. Always innovative, he created Yurest, a comprehensive software that optimizes processes like reservations, orders, inventory, and costs, facilitating digitalization and improving profitability for groups like Saona or Voltereta. In 2023, he opened Gran Mercat, inspired by traditional bars, becoming a success in Valencia. He currently leads the group with his brother, with plans to expand in Valencia and Madrid, leaving a mark on the gastronomic and technological landscape.
